Merry Christmas everyone!
Greetings from Spiti!
The temperature in Spiti is already touching -19˚C and it has snowed twice in the month of December. Even in the day time when the sun is out, the temperature refuses to go up from -4.4˚C. A week back, Spiti was covered in more than 12 inches of snowfall and surprisingly, life remained unaffected for the hardworking people of Spiti.
There are woman washing clothes in the public water sources in -9.6˚C and there are kids collecting drinking water from the same water sources in plastic cans. Just like any other winter day.
